Inside the ICCI Annual Meeting 2026

On June 10, I had the opportunity to photograph the ICCI Annual Meeting during its midday gathering. The event brought together ICCI members, community leaders, and guests for an afternoon centered on updates, recognition, and conversation.

Annual meetings tell the story of an organization in a way that a program or list of speakers cannot. The formal presentations matter, but so do the greetings before the meeting begins, the reactions around the room, and the conversations that continue after the agenda is finished. Together, those moments show the people behind the work.

Documenting the Gathering

My approach to event photography is to let the day unfold naturally. Rather than directing people or staging moments, I watch for genuine interactions while making sure the important parts of the program are documented clearly.

That means moving between the wider view and the small details: a speaker addressing the room, an award or moment of recognition, people listening closely, and guests reconnecting between presentations. The goal is not simply to show that an event happened, but to preserve what it felt like to be there.

People at the Center

What stood out throughout the afternoon was the sense of connection in the room. Presentations gave attendees a chance to reflect on ICCI's work and look toward what comes next, while the time around the formal program made space for the personal conversations that hold a community together.

These photographs follow the meeting from its opening moments through the presentations and the conversations afterward. Viewed together, they offer a fuller record of the gathering and the people who shaped it.
